David S. Fry

Bio: After graduating from Rockford High school in 1967, Mr. Fry attended Michigan State University where he majored in Business Administration. He graduated in 1971 and went on to Georgetown University Law Center in Washington, D.C. After completing his legal studies in 1974, he returned to Rockford to begin his legal practice.
Dave began his legal career in Rockford, Michigan in 1974 entering a private practice there after his graduation from law school. In 1976, he began to specialize in corporate law and joined the legal department at Rapistan Incorporated. In 1983, he joined Steelcase, Inc. as its first in-house counsel and served over 14 years as the head of the Legal Department. Dave joined Neil Blakeslee, and the firm of Blakeslee & Fry, PLC was founded in the summer of 1998 to specialize in the areas of business law, estate and business planning, and real estate development.
Involvements: Mr. Fry is a member of the American Bar Association, the State Bar of Michigan (elected member, Business Law Section council), and the Grand Rapids Bar Association. His ABA memberships include: Antitrust, Business Law and Intellectual Property. He is also an elected member of the Chief Legal Officer Council of The Conference Board. Mr. Fry is a member of the American Corporate Counsel Association, and the American Society of Corporate Secretaries. He was also admitted to practice in Michigan, the Federal District Court for the Western District of Michigan, the Court of Appeals for the Federal Circuit, and The Supreme Court of the United States.
